Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had clean and functional rooms with good AC, despite some noise from events. The service was terrific, especially Irene at reception and Imma the housekeeper. The location, resembling a monastery, was charming and convenient for exploring the city. Dining was good with buffet and a La Carte option. The facilities were well-maintained.
My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The historical rooms were charming, but some service issues were noticeable. The central location was convenient for exploring Granada, yet noise from events affected the ambiance. The dining experience was enjoyable with limited menu options. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
The hotel's rooms were perfectly lovely, created from the oldest part of the building, featuring a stunning sarked ceiling. However, they were much noisier than acceptable, with conversations and cart noises reverberating all over and sounds from the room above, making it still noisier than average. The service, without exception from reception to valet parking to room service, was excellent, with particular attention to advising on activities, tracking down live Wimbledon tennis matches, and being patient. The location is close to the main attractions and restaurants/bars, allowing for easy exploration of Granada. However, during our stay, two evenings experienced amplified voices and music from a wedding and a conference taking place nearby. The dining experience, in what might have been a chapel or refectory, was nice but somewhat of a disappointment.
The hotel's location is superb, right on the bustling Gran Via de Colon and very convenient for sightseeing, but it can get a bit noisy. The rooms had some steps to manage, and soundproof windows helped counter the street noise. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to assist with shipping personal items. The dining experience, although limited for vegetarians, offered excellent a la carte options and a unique setting next to the courtyard graves. Overall, a great choice for a stay in Madrid.
The hotel had beautiful, friendly staff, and the rooms were more suitable for us than we expected, offering comfort, space, and quiet ambiance. However, the rooms felt more like a standard 3-star chain hotel rather than a 5-star with tired decor and basic furnishings. The location was excellent, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and sightseeing opportunities.
